The Conviction we got is probably better than what this would have been. Watching this again made me realize it's so funny how they were trying to make a Hitman game and from the looks of it there (granted, pre-alpha but some of the comments from the guy demoing it aren't encouraging) not a very good one. It's clear they really wanted to make their Bourne/24 game here but didn't really know how. I'd love for them to pick Splinter Cell back up and maybe try a social-stealth-heavy approach again with the systemic and AI advancements we've made in the last 15 years.

It's really fascinating to look at this today. It's all rigidly scripted, there's no dynamic anything. Lure that guard behind the tree thing, trash the laptop, blow up propane tank, jump out of the window, trash café. They really had nothing else at that point. It's so funny when in the stage demo, the guy says "there are many ways to create a diversion and I don't know which one he's going for" and he's doing the exact same propane tank thing as the guy in the backstage press demo lol.

The demo they're showing multiple times shows that there seems to always only be one option in this highly scripted scenario anyway so it's not like they were attempting a multi-approach thing either.
